We visited the anda resort personally to see what it was like the day before we were due to arrive as we were already on koh lipe. When we arrived the resort was a mess with construction everywhere, no swimming pool ad advertised and a huge tanker with building materials on the beach right in front of the resort. We were bitterly disappointed to say the least and spoke to reception to say we wanted to cancel the reservation ad it was no where near to what had been advertised. This resort was a treat and our most expensive 2 nights on our holiday and there was no way we wanted to pay £100 to stay there given the facilities and site were such a mess. The lady on reception agreed straight away to
refund the money and got all my bank details out to show us she had them and promised a full refund with no cancellation charge there and then. To be honest she didn't seen surprised we wanted yo cancel and I think this wasn't the first conversation she'd had with clients asking to cancel.
It's low season here and most of the resorts are making upgrades ahead of high season but this was on a different level. When she showed us the room we'd be staying in it backed onto a hotel being built and was noisy and not at all what had been shown on the [1]booking.com website, hence her agreeing straight away to refund fully.
We can't check the bank account at the moment but your email is a concern so can you please go back to them to reiterate this and confirm a refund has gone through.
It might be worth amending your website to reflect how bad the anda is
right now so others dont make the same mistake.
