Using ensiled or dry cassava leaves and sweet potato vines replacing 70% of the CP from FM in diets and
providing 35% of the total CP had no effect on the performance and carcass traits of the Large pigs. Cassava leaves and sweet potato vines can be used as a protein supplement for feeding pigs at a relatively high
inclusion level without negative effects on performance if HCN concentrations are below levels known to be toxic to
pigs. Higher returns are possible if ensiled or dry cassava leaves and sweet potato vines are used in diets for pigs.
