In present work, the activity of immobilized nano photocatalyst
was examined by minor tubular photoreactor
with continuous flow rate that designs in laboratory scale.
In the focuses applied reactor consist of: glass tubes of
dimension (7.50 mm internal diameter; 230 mm length)
that N, S/TiO2 coated on small glass beads were loaded
into these tubes that nearly 4.40 g immobilized TiO2 were
in each tube. Subsequently, all tubes were linked in series.
Lastly, glass tubes was fixed on a mirror surface tilted
(length 18 cm, width 24 cm; as light reflector). Osram lamp
(HQI-BT 400 W/D/D E40 FLH1) was utilized as visible
light source. This lamp was fixed on the location of height
of 7 cm above the photoreactor of tubes. Position lamp
retained invariable for the entire of the runs. Another part
of reactor is a peristaltic pump (made in Iran) that
paraquat solution continuously circulated through the
tubes. In conclusion, the photoreactor was installed into
a metallic chest to prevent visible light escape.
