Renewable energy resources, environmental problem, a heat
island, a global warming and carbon dioxide emissions have
become a concern in the world. In the case of energy problems, it
is essential to consider measures for effective energy consumption
and develop an alternative energy because natural resources are in
danger of running out. The simulation-optimization approach has
been used as method for management effective energy and developed in the recent decade. Fong et al. [1] studied a novel simulation optimization approach that was applied to devise a reset scheme
of chilled water and supply air temperature for the HVAC system in
a subway station, and suggested the possible saving potential from
the newly optimized information. The genetic algorithm (GA) is
widely used as the method for designing an architectural environmental design and HVAC systems [2–12]. Huang and Lam [3] developed an automatic search procedure for optimization of parameters
of a proportional plus integral controller in a HVAC system. Studies on optimizing HVAC systems of commercial buildings have also been carried out by using the optimal design method [6,13–18] .
