Hypothesis H3 was partially accepted for Task 2: the active use of avatars as a virtual embodiment had a significantly more positive impact on the task evaluation in the spacious setup of Condition C – which required constant moving around between idea cards – than in result, indicating a possible positive relationship between the level of the active use of embodiment and positive task evaluation (a possible proportional trend is also visible in figure 10). We therefore conclude that making active use of embodiment increases people’s satisfaction with task work. the static brainwriting board setup of Condition A. The ‘intermediate’ setup of Condition B led to an intermediate result, indicating a possible positive relationship between the level of the active use of embodiment and positive task evaluation (a possible proportional trend is also visible in figure 10). We therefore conclude that making active use of embodiment increases people’s satisfaction with task work.
