5.3. Predictors of frequency of home nursing visits
In the ZINB model (Table 4), participants who had no
visits were younger, had a lower BMI, lower urinary
albumin:creatinine ratios and less PAD at baseline. After
adjustment for those who received no nursing visits,
independent baseline predictors of an increased frequency
of home nursing visits were use of insulin, higher systolic
blood pressure, antihypertensive medication and a history
of cerebrovascular disease, whilst independent predictors
of a lower frequency of nursing visits were taking regular
aspirin, Asian ethnicity and having a higher annual
household income.
