General Motors Thailand's "Growing the Mangrove" restoration project in Pak Nam Pra Sae, Rayong, was completed thanks to help from managements and more than 100 employees from GM's local vehicle manufacturing plant.
"We selected this location for mangrove restoration for the same reason we undertake any environmental project - it benefits the local community. At GM, we have an ongoing commitment to help the communities where we work and live. In this case, our employees planted 120 mangrove plants that will help contribute to a healthy coastal area for wildlife and the local populace," said Amnat Saengjan, vice president of manufacturing, GM Thailand.
