Literature survey demonstrates that electrodes with porous
microstructure exhibit excellent gas sensing and supercapacitive
properties [14,11]. In case of sensors, the porous microstructure
generally has high specific surface area favorable for the diffusion
of gas molecules which effectively reduces the response/recovery
time [18]. Similarly, in supercapacitor, large specific surface area
provides more electrochemical active sites, while a porous structure
reduces electronic diffusion length and facilitates the diffusion
of an electrolyte
