There is substantial evidence that the
prevalence of overweight and obesity are increasing
worldwide and while the rise has been best
documented for industrialized nations, it appears that
similar changes are also occurring in many developing
countries(1). There appear to be substantial health
implications consequent upon the rise in overweight
