During math, Homura was called on to write the answer on the board.
She had been out of school for so long that she couldn't remember anything.
When the teacher noticed this, you got out of your seat and walked over to Homura. Grabbing her right hand that held the marker, you moved her hand to write, explaining how the problem was to be solved as you went. Everyone watched as you helped her, and everyone, including the teacher, were all smiles the whole time.
"Akemi-san," the teacher called, "Have [Last Name]-san help you with learning the problems, and be sure to write them down in your notes."
Homura looked up at you, as you gave a sweet smile. She looked down in order to hide her red face, but you didn't notice and you were confused as to why she looked down. Was she worried? Ashamed? Meh, you'll deal with it later.
P.E. was slightly different.
Since Homura had been in bed most of the year, she hadn't been much for exercise. This was revealed when she passed out during the warm ups, and you were called from your class to go help her.
You helped her up against a tree, and let her get some air into her system. You moved some hair out of her face, and she looked forward into your deep (e/c) eyes. She tried reading your emotions from them, and got worry, concern, compassion, hope, and.. Fearlessness? Why was that there?
"Wow, I can't believe that she passed out during warm-up exercises," one student said. Unfortunately, you had heard her, and you were walking over to her.
"Excuse me," you called out to the student. "Homura-chan has been through a lot. She was stuck in bed because of a heart disease, and now you chose to talk badly about her behind her back? Have you no soul? She's a great person, if you'd just try to get to know her, which I recommend you do. Please, I ask of you to open up your kind heart, and treat Homura-chan with kindness, okay?"
The girl immediately flushed red from embarrassment and blushing, and nodded. You gave her a smile and wave, and then returned to where Homura-chan was.
She looked up at you, and you gave her a considerate smile. She once again looked down, and once again you were caught with confusion.
