Anaerobic co-digestion of MWS and GTW without dewatering at
the nearestdigesters, ifpossible, canimprovedigesterperformance
and provideamorestabledigestion ascompared to co-digestion of
dewatered GTW. Also, additional processes as sociated with trans-
ferring and dewatering GTW can be eliminated. Further investi-
gation is needed to support the feasibility of digesting GTW atthe
nearest WWTP in stead of hauling the dewatered GTW long dis-
tances fortreatment. The performance data collected inthis study
can be used as a guide for the development of full-scale applica-
tions inAustin, Texasand other municipalities.
