Nowadays, the behaviors of tourists have changed. They want to participate more in tourist
activities and this is coupled with the emerging issues of tourism resource management. Hence, creative
tourism is proposed to enable tourists and local communities to be able to take part in tourism management.
Thailand has plenty of tourism resources that can be used to develop creative tourism. However, this
concept is a relatively new and unfamiliar one in Thailand, so both tourism entrepreneurs and tourists still
lack the knowledge and understanding of creative tourism. When analyzing the country’s potential in
tourism management issues according to the conceptual framework of creative tourism management, it
was found that there are many supporting factors in the development and promotion of creative tourism in
Thailand. More research studies to build a body of knowledge can provide a clear framework to develop
Thailand’s creative tourism management that is more widely acceptable and recognized. The end result of
these studies will increase the income for Thailand and lead to sustainable tourism industry of the
country
