1.2. Ingredients panel
This panel is used for ingredients navigation and management. Buttons in toolbar are:
Add new ingredient
Edit ingredient
Delete ingredient
Clone ingredient (duplicate)
Add ingredient to current formula
Show ingredients price history graph
Clone to plant (duplicate formula to other
plant)
Magnifier text box is used for fast search. It
will filter results as text is inserted.
Below toolbar is ingredients tree. It is organized in two or three levels. In the first level are groups (folders) of ingredients. Second level is level of ingredients and third level is level of ingredient variations. For example, one can have corn in cereals group but can have three more variations of same corn, just slightly different in nutrition values. So, one can define corn as base ingredient for other corn variations. In this case all other corns will be positioned inside base corn (see plus/expand button near corn in Figure 3).
Below tree control is panel with basic ingredient values, name, code, personal and market price, dry matter and information is ingredient in stock or not.
At the bottom is table that is showing nutritional values for selected ingredient. At the top of this table is small toolbar with two buttons (water drop and sun), for showing values in Dry matter or in As Fed basis.
1.3. Active formula ingredients
This part of the screen is giving detailed information about ingredient, prices and results for currently active formula. On top of this part is panel with basic formula information – currently sum of all ingredients percentage, current batch price, cost of previously run optimization and cost of current optimization. At the end of this blue line is little beam scale icon which will show screen with previous and current optimization.
