What we should emphasize is that the unconvergence rate of economic growth in the East was retarded because of immigration, and it meant that the increase of regional disparity was retarded gradually by the rate of 19.4% along with contribution promoted by population mobility to economic growth, although the regional disparity in the East was enlarging gradually in the period of 1999-2003. For the whole nation, the Midst and the West, however, it did not satisfy everyone through the result shown in Table 3, which indicated that it was not only the regional disparity in the whole nation, the Midst or the West was enlarging but also the increase of regional disparity in those areas was accelerated because of the immigration
