The Sala Kan Parian is usually a long rectangular structure whose front and rear porches may be proportionally wider than those of a Wihan. Pilasters support the low hanging roofs of the exterior while pillars maintain the external walls. Only the lateral sides may be pierced by windows. Thick pilasters buttress the walls of the inner rectangle, whereas sturdy pillars support the multi-tiered roof over the central nave. There may be a dissimilarity between the east and the west walls of the interior.
