Monkey vs Gorilla
Being primates, both gorilla and monkey are sharing some important features viz. five digit fore limb with an opposable thumb , binocular vision, higher brain capacity, improved tool using behaviours…etc. However, the gorillas hold an evolutionarily higher position than the monkeys. Monkeys are vastly different in their body sizes, but the gorilla is the largest and the heaviest member among the primates. Some monkey species live up to 50 years and the maximum age of a gorilla would be 35 years. The presence of tail in monkeys serves a very distinctive feature between them and gorillas. Most of the monkeys are living in herds, social animals, thus it gives another similarity with the gorillas. Gorillas are mainly herbivorous and the monkeys are omnivorous, hence, it could be a slight difference between the two forms of primates. The desire of people to watch and study will never stop as these creatures are great potentials of fascination and interest.
