Finally, what we have also learned is that the technique should
be kept simple. For example, we hypothesized that the Draw technique
would lead to a better performance. This happened to be true,
but only when no precise positioning was required. Managing both
long displacements along the streets and more precise movements,
as it was the case for the balloon shooting task, appeared as too demanding
for the users. Even when it was less efficient, some subjects
preferred to input many successive target destinations with the
Go-To technique rather than to mix two approaches, stroke gestures
to go fast and target selection to refine.
