The electret properties of BaTiO3 containing PP filaments were
investigated. Charging at 130 C e the Curie temperature for BaTiO3
e resulted in a highest initial potential and enhanced stability. The
effect of BaTiO3 was apparent for concentrations above 1%. Cold
charged samples exhibited poor properties when compared to
thermally charged samples. It is clear that the addition of BaTiO3
coupled with thermal charging will yield much improved electret
properties.
