Job scope & responsibilities
70% of the job
Perform data mining and manipulation in SQL and other tools to select insurance ‘hot lead’ based on monthly request.
Track and evaluate campaign success rate and make recommendation based on exploratory data analysis.
Develop statistical models, such as decision tree and logistic regression, to improve ‘hot lead’ selection criteria
30% of the job
Develop tracking and ad-hoc reports to enhance the understanding of retail customers
Perform descriptive and predictive model on transactional data
Qualifications
Bachelor degree in mathematics/statistics/engineering/other quantitative field
Master degree in business administration or quantitative field
0-2 or more years of predictive modeling/data mining experience required
Experience in the application of modern statistical design and predictive modeling/data mining techniques on large data sets is a plus
Proven track record in making data mining/analysis actionable to improve business outcomes is a plus
Knowledge of SPSS required. SQL a plus
Experience with development and deployment of models in transactional databases a plus
