The researchers
stated that they used the modified scale as it contained a
better balance of forward and reversed-scaled items and
had an improved factor structure (Austin et al., 2005).
Finally, we coded studies for student status of participants
(student and nonstudent). One study (Austin et al., 2005)
was not coded for student status as it included both student
and nonstudent participants. The studies were coded independently
by two raters, who discussed any disagreement
regarding coding until they reached an agreement.
