This research involves the study of two different vertical greenery walls installed in home models to evaluate the thermal impacts on the performance of buildings and their immediate environment based on the surface and ambient temperatures, the best cooling efficiency according to the maximum temperature reduction of the wall and substrate surfaces. The experimental comparative thermal performance study between the developed Green Solar Chimney Wall (GSCW) and Concrete Wall (CW) were integrated into the south façade of two small house models of the same dimensions and studied under tropical climate of Bangkok. The experimental results demonstrated that indoor temperature of CW room was higher than that of GSCW room. These results point to the potential thermal benefits of vertical greenery systems in reducing the surface temperature of buildings facades in the tropical climate, leading to a reduction in the cooling load and energy cost and protect environment.
