The aims of the present work are to develop
method for trace analysis of lead and optimumAliquots of 50.0 mL sample solution containing
Pb2+ 5 μg were placed in a 100 mL glass beaker and mixed
with 3 mL of buffer solution (in pH range of 2–10). After
that, 1 mL acetone, 2 mL of 0.01 M sodium
diethyldithiocarbamate (DDTC) and 3 mL concentrate
hydrochloric acid were subsequently added and let stand
for 5 min. Then 2 mL of perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA)
dissolved 0.1M LiOH was added. A cloudy solution was
formed in the test tube. In this step, Pb2+ reacted with
DDTC and the Pb-DDTC complex was extracted into the
fine droplets of PFOA-. The solution was centrifuged at
2000 rpm for 10 min, and the dispersed fine droplet was
found deposited at the bottom of conical test tube. One
hundred microliters of the sediment phase with the final
volume of 5 mL 1%v/v HNO3 was subjected into FAAS
measurement as described in Table 1.
