Placement of optical fiber into the concrete mixture
sample allows us to precise mapping of the temperature
profile depending on time, i.e. the rate of heat release during
hydration. A sample of simple concrete using slag
Portland cement and aggregates of size fraction from 1 to
2 mm was created for measurement. The sample was
placed in the wooden (spruce) test mould; dimensions of
this mould were 400 mm × 400 mm × 350 mm (Fig. 6); in
which a layered meander from multimode optical fiber of
dimensions of 50/125 micrometers was previously created.
