Research Methodology
From the objectives above, this paper devises a research model using the three standard principles.
These three standard principles include the principle by His Majesty the King, the principle by The
National Economic and Social Development Board (NESDB) and the principle by Bangkok Metropolitan.
Moreover, an analysis was performed to compare the differences among the three levels so as to analyze
lifestyles under the SE principle, which would be applied as a key to define several key performance
indicators (KPIs), from the three community case studies. Different communities and different personal
characteristics affected the use of the lifestyle concept and, therefore, led to different physical, social and
economic aspects. Moreover, different personal characteristics were affected by different perceptions.
From comparative study and research results, we were able to identify the problems and limitations of an
applying the SE principle at personal and community levels. Conclusion could be drawn from the results
for community policy suggestions covering human resources and community development under the SE
principle. The research model is as follows:
