At the completion of this session participants should be able to
• List and provide examples of how the various forms of facilitation could contribute to learner achievement within their courses
• Provide a framework for establishing and acting on learner feedback to improve course delivery
• Create a student information flyer, which identifies the type of facilitation provided by the tutors for their course
Promoting Student learning through Assessments
Learning Outcomes:
At the completion of this session participants should be able to
• List and compare the validity, level, structure and appropriate application of a range of assessment methods
• Outline an assessment feedback schedule which will provide timely, focused, fair and effective feedback to students
• Apply the principles of good design and structure of multiple choice questions through the provision of a range of examples applicable to their specific discipline
Assessing Online
Learning Outcomes:
At the completion of this session participants should be able to
• Outline strategies for effective and efficient management of student learning events in an online environment
• Provide examples of quizzes created within the Moodle environment which provide authentic assessment for their discipline
• Demonstrate through a specific discipline example, an understanding of how assignments are deployed within the Moodle environment
• Demonstrate how to generate reports on student progress through the use of the Moodle gradebook
