Experiment 2
Experiment 2 tested 6- and 7-year-olds and 9- and 10-year-olds in the perceptual classification and
grasping tasks used in Experiment 1. We investigated whether children process task-relevant dimensions
in interaction with task-irrelevant dimensions in both perception and action or whether, like
adults, they process these dimensions in interaction with one another in perception but independent
of each other in action.
