I hope you are well, I was just wondering if you have any assistant wedding planner jobs vacancies arising in the coming months? As I would love to come and join your team and help plan couples weddings. I am very keen to move abroad and develop my career in wedding and events in a industry I know I will love and succeed in and also offer a better lifestyle for my family.
I feel that I have the experience, passion and organisational skills to take on this job and do it well. I hope that you can see the potential in me.
I hold a certificate in Wedding Planning and Events Management and also run a wedding blog www.wedinthesun.org and facebook page as a destination wedding planner where I work closely with wedding planners around the world to help plan the couples wedding days. I also write blogs with tips and ideas to help with peoples wedding days. This started with just 2 locations and over the months I now have 15 locations that I offer, which I feel is a great achievement. I really enjoy writing my blogs and getting creative with my tips and ideas for weddings, whether its centrepiece ideas, wedding colours or wedding dress shopping tips. This job has been an excellent step into the industry and I enjoy working with the couples and each wedding planner and their team in the desired location but the goal has always been to be more hands on and to be able to help organise their weddings a from start to finish and be a full time job where I can use my skills and develop new ones and also gain more experience.
I love to organise, give ideas and get a real buzz out of helping people plan their ideal event and I really do feel that this is the right career path for me. I have many skills to offer these are - excellent organisational skills, high communication skills and computer skills including social media on top of that I’m hard working, willing to learn and creative. I feel with my enthusiasm, drive, determination and creativity I would be able to take up this challenge and do it well and all I am looking for to that chance to be able to show that I can do this job well.
Over the years I have planned and organised many events, 3 weddings - one of which was my own back in 2005 which is where my passion for organising weddings all started, from there I help organise my best friend’s wedding and also more recently - April 2014 a colleague’s wedding where I coordinated her wedding day and also created the table centre pieces and decorated the hall, which all went very well and I really enjoyed the day. In June 2014 I planned my Sons naming day which was a Mad Hatters Tea Party theme. Also being social secretary at my dive club I have organised a 50s diner fundraiser, annual BBQ and games, trips UK and abroad, social events – bowling, meals, quiz nights and theatre trips and our annual Christmas party.
I understand that organising weddings and events for friends are slightly different to organising them for customers but I hope that these examples show you my skills and creativity and that I have the ability to be able to work in this industry and do a good job.
