Linear low-density poly- ethylene (LLDPE) matrix based active nanocomposite films were prepared with addition of the active nanoclay particles using a high shear force twin-screw extruder attached to the blow-molding apparatus. Active nanocomposite packaging could maintain fresh meat color up to 4 days storage period preventing the surface off- color. Proliferation of TMAB, LAB and TYM in the Turkish sliced sucuk samples was suppressed by vacuum packaging application with active nanocomposite films during storage for 30 days.
