3. Method
We conducted two multiple-perspective case studies on the role of resilience in WBE programs. Stake [30] argued that each case study be designed to optimize understanding of the case rather than generalization beyond the case. As the population of cases accumulates, comparisonsbecome meaningfuland patterns emerge. In our population of over 20 previous case studies with youth with disabilities, the emerging patterns point to resilience as a significant contributor to successfulworkplacelearningin WBE. These two case studies tested this explanation in a rigorous way.
