The Milky Way, our galaxy, is one of many independent systems consisting of planets, stars, gas and space debris. Ours is a spiral galaxy, one of several types of galaxies that exist in the universe. The thing that holds our system together is the gravitation al pull that exists between the core planet and the other planets. We call our system, a solar system. Our solar system is made up of nine planets which revolve around the Sun at different distances. The Sun is the largest star in the Solar System, it exerts a huge gravitational pull on the surround planets and forces them into a continual orbit. It is the source of light and heat for other planets. The closest planet to the Sun is Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto respectively. Recent science studies/astronomers would like to rule Pluto out as it is too far away from the galaxy’s core. However, astrologers oppose to that idea as it affects their way of thinking.
