Presidential frontrunner Joko "Jokowi" Widodo has told investors that he will pursue market-friendly policies and infrastructure building as his priorities.
Widodo outlined his platform as investment cools and the country faces hefty budget and current account deficits.
His rise to become the Jakarta governor and his common touch made him an early favourite in the race for the July 9 polls.
But he faces a formidable challenge from Prabowo Subianto, who emerged as a serious contender after securing the backing last month of Golkar, the country's second biggest party.
Opinion polls show Widodo is still ahead, but one recent survey indicated up to 40% of voters remain undecided.
Both Prabowo and Widodo will travel widely in the next month to woo more than 186 million voters.
