Salar Kamangar was born in Tehran but left at the age of two prior to the lranian revolution.He received his bachelor’s degree from. Stanford university in 1998 in biological sciences. During his college years he was president of PARSA community Foundation, a Persian nonprofit organization that had a great deal to do with the evolution of his strong entrepreneurial spirit. At a Stanford job fair he met Sergey Brin, one of the cofounders of google, and was hired as its ninth employee. He did not have much of job description in those early days so he basically did anything that the cofounders did not want to do. However,he eventually became a rising star and was immortalized at Google for co-developing Adwaord, which is the foundation for Google’s syndication on partner sites that also provides the company’s major source of revenue.
After running google’s Apps for four years he yearnedfor something new and different. As he says,
