each adding≥12.8% to PC1, were most relevant for distinguishing the post-storage quality stages. Each of the other components included in the TSS/TA ratio and h◦m, respectively, thus played slightly inferior roles. Together with TSS and SFKS, TA explained∼42% of the total variance via PC1–PC4 (Fig. 3B), in conformity with the decline of RPIKS throughout storage (Table 5). Partially ripe fruit, which mainly contained fruit lots of day 10±1, was located lefthand in the PCA plot. Ripe to over-ripe fruit was found on the right side (Fig. 3A), with the fruit lots after 18±1 d of storage being separated by PC1 as pre-classified via the TSS/TA developments in Fig. 2.
