We arrived yesterday at the Havana and it was nothing like the photos on booking.com. There was no furniture in the lounge to sit on, no furniture in the balcony. The villa was tired and in a state of disrepair. The kitchen was dirty and the cupboards were rotting. There was no kitchen ware whatsoever for cooking or to be able to eat. The bathrooms were also in a state of disrepair and the upstairs balcony had a constant leak of water. The villa itself is not near surin beach. It is near bang Tao. The pool was not working either. What is in booking.com is a complete misrepresentation of the villas as they are today and the villa does not contain the furniture or have the facilities that are advertised. We were met by the staff not the owner and they tried to be as helpful as possible, the owner did in the end offer us free transport to the beach. However we were so disappointed with the accommodation that we decided to leave today and booked into alternative accommodation. We spoke to the owners brother who apologised for our experience though did not offer me any compensation for our disappointing experience. It was difficult for us as women on our own to argue for reimbursement of our outlay.
