The specimens were studied, measured and photographedusing a Zeiss Stemi DV4 stereomicroscope, equipped with a0.1 mm ocular micrometer. High-resolution digital photographswere taken using either white or UV light and then slightlyprocessed with Adobe Photoshop CS5, only to remove back-ground and to optimize brightness and contrast parameters forprinting. Measurements and pectinal tooth counts were taken toanalyze morphometric and meristic variation of the species. Allmeasurements are reported in millimeters (mm). The descrip-tion was made according to nomenclature and measurementsof Stahnke (1970), except for the description of carination ofthe chelae of pedipalp, which was made according to Acosta,Candido, Buckup, and Brescovit (2008) and the carination ofmetasomal segments, which followed Francke (1977).
