In this study, simple statistical analyses have been used, including descriptive analysis, cross-tabulation, Chi-square test, and the factor analysis.
An empirical model has been developed to estimate the relationship between sociodemographic characteristics and consumer preferences for eating out. Consumers’ responses on eating out has been considered as a dependent variable whereas sociodemographic factors, such as gender, age, education, marital status, social category, occupation, spouse occupation, family type, family size, working members, number of kids in family, and income level are considered independent variables. Logistic regression model is used to analyze the factors affecting eating out. The empirical model is defined as:
