Gross examination of all dead embryos in group V showed
mainly hemorrhages and congestion which was dose dependent.
It means that in group V1 (with 0.5 104 tachyzoites/ml) the
hemorrhages were mild, while in group V2 (with 1.0 104 tachyzoites/
ml) they were moderate, and in the group V3 (with
1.5 104 tachyzoites/ml) the hemorrhages were severe. There
were no macroscopic lesions in the heart, liver and brain of the
dead embryos in any of the groups. Also, in gross examination,
hemorrhage was seen at the inner surface of the egg shells. Gross
examination of one dead embryo in group J3 showed mild congestion
and hemorrhage on the body surface. Examination of
euthanized and necropsied chickens in group J with a different
dose of tachyzoites and
