Year 6HD Homework Information
Dear Parents of Y6HD,
The format of homework after half term is changing in Year 6 and I would like to make you aware of this and the web link required to access the homework.
Firefly
A project based homework (covering Maths, Literacy and Unit) will be loaded onto Firefly after the holidays. Children will have the option to upload their homework onto firefly or they can print and hand write activities. Mental Maths and Literacy booklets will no longer be set.
As a trial for your child using Firefly they have been set a reading task based on Just So stories. This has been explained to the class and your child should know what to do. Please encourage them to complete one task over the half term break.

Reading
As a whole primary school we have a new reading scheme called ‘Bug Club’. You should all have received an email from Mr. Josh Doubleday last week concerning how you access this site and its purpose.
This was introduced to your child today and they are all very enthusiastic about the new reading format. All books are based on your child’s individual reading level. Each child has been assigned several books, once these books have been read and the activities completed accurately then new books can be assigned.
The link to Bug Club can be found on Firefly, your child is aware of their username and password, please note that the school code is pswj.
Thank you for your continued support and please feel free to share any feedback.
Hope to see many for you at our International Day tomorrow,
Helen Dunn
