An instrument manufacturer's KTP
the company made hand-held instruments for monitoring potentially harmful chemicals that could pose a threat to health safety. A chemistry graduate was employed as a KTP Associate to improve their existing products and create a completely new one. the new product was an ethanol analyser that measured alcohol levels in beer. wine and cider. the new instrument was used by breweries, trading standards departments and Customs and Excise (as it was called then). These were entirely new markets for the company. During the course of the two-year project employment at the company rose from three to eight and the company now exports to more than 30 countries
