EXCLUSIVE: Bradley Cooper reveals his desire for everlasting love like his parents... days after he splits from Zoe Saldana


He was named 2011's Sexiest Man Alive, has well and truly cemented his status as an A-list actor and has dated some of Hollywood's most beautiful women.
But Bradley Cooper has revealed his greatest wish is to find everlasting love and settle down in a 'traditional family home'.
The 38-year-old actor's revelation comes just days after he reportedly split from on-off girlfriend, Avatar actress Zoe Saldana.
Admitting he is a 'romantic' at heart, the Silver Linings Playbook star explained he wants to follow in the footsteps of his beloved parents and grandparents, and meet the woman of his dreams to spend the rest of his life with.
He told MailOnline: 'I would say I am a romantic, for sure. I think most guys are deep down. I look at my parents, who have been married happily since 1963, and my Grandparents are the same. What guy wouldn’t want that?
'I think the thought of a traditional family home is awesome. Traditional roles are becoming a thing of the past, but I think there is something still really charming about them.'
The Hollywood heartthrob admitted he can draw similarities from his character in The Hangover franchise, Phil Wenneck, explaining 'most guys' long for family time.
Bradley said: 'I think Phil is a romantic deep down. His bravado is that he wants the single guys lifestyle – but at the end of both movies he has just wanted to get home to his family. Lets be honest most guys want that.'

The star's romantic confessions come after his recent split from Zoe Saldana, just days before the former couple planned to jet to France to spend New Year's Eve together.
After originally dating for three months after filming The Words together, the pair split in March 2012 before rekindling their relationship in September.
But it would seem the reconciliation was somewhat short-lived, with Bradley calling time on their romance shortly before their scheduled festive trip.

A source told the New York Post's Page Six: 'Zoe had planned to spend the holidays with Bradley and his family in Europe. They all were going to Paris, but things didn’t work out between them. Zoe spent New Year’s Eve with friends in Miami.'
Prior to his romance with Zoe, Bradley dated actress Renée Zellweger for over a year.
In 2006, he married actress Jennifer Esposito, but she filed for less than a year after the union was made official.

The star's relationship with Zoe is said to have cooled while he was promoting new movie, Silver Linings Playbook, with Jennifer Lawrence.
Opening to critical success at the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival, the movie chronicles the life of bipolar sufferer Pat - played by Cooper - who is released from a psychiatric hospital, where he was sent after beating up a middle-aged teacher he found doing more than showering with his wife.
Pat is determined to win back his wife - who has taken out a restraining order on him - until a friend introduces Pat to his sister-in-law Tiffany (Lawrence), who’s struggling to cope with the death of her policeman husband.
It is then the pair decide to partner each other in a local dance competition.
