Revenue numbers had grown strongly during 2010,2011,2012. With best performance in 2011. Year 2013 was already not easy time, because there was some political troubles in Thailand and we start to feel also the economic recession of Europe.
Year 2014. Many things happened in Thailand during 2014 and many of them hurt tourist market.
However we perform well during January 2014 increasing turnover by 13%.
What hit us badly was low season. If you give a look at figures in 2011(our best revenue) and compare them with 2014 you will see that our turnover did not change too much during high season but during low season comparing it with our best year(2011) slow to levels of less 40%.
Comparing year 2013 and 2014 we close with less 15%.
There are several factors for this and we can easily list them.
Demographic changes in rawai and nai harn area, still bad economic recession in Europe, Military at the government of Thailand and mostly Russian market.
We still had many Russian at end of the year 2014 โ€“ NYE was mostly booked by Russian customers, but the devaluation of the ruble cut Russian tourist market by 30 โ€“ 40% less. Right now newspapers are saying Russian market is down by 60%.
Just to mention ( first 2 weeks of January 2015 were no bad but after 13 of January 2015 was again very quiet everywhere. February, March and April were very difficult but Month of May our turnover improved and I suppose compared to other businesses we did not bad at all. Beginning of June (usually more difficult month with September) thanks to Fresh Black Summer Truffle from Italy we had customers.
