The goal of our work is to give some guidelines about
which mobile app paradigms are more suitable than other.
After the analysis and evaluation, we conclude that native apps and HTML5 mobile apps keep their first places in the race of
mobile paradigms. Mobile widgets are still valuable but their
role is no longer so important on mobile devices. Mobile Web
apps will become a history and they are soon replaced by
HTML5 mobile apps.
Although we strived to ensure objectivity it is worth noting
that the results of our work are only indicative because the
ultimate choice of a mobile app paradigm will always relies on
the taste of the developer and the context of the application
