Wrist drop is most commonly a consequence of Radial
Nerve damage caused by penetrating injury, fracture of
Humerus or compression neuropathy. Other causes
may include unusual presentations of C7/C8
radiculopathy, brachial plexus lesions and central
causes. [1] Wrist drop can be a manifestation of
conversion disorder (CD) but has not been adequately
reported in the literature. We present here such a case
who underwent extensive clinical, laboratory,
radiological and electrophysiological evaluation and
finally diagnosed to have a CD.
