A nutrition assessment screening tool for HIV-positive
adults [35] comprised four groups: 25 questions assigned
different points for each affirmative response. Questions
screening for weight changes, lypodystrophy, dietary
habits, food access, preparation and storage were allocated
2 points each. Symptoms – nausea, diarrhoea, vomiting,
appetite loss, fatigue were allocated 2 points each and 1
score each for heartburn and bloating. Intake of ART, TB
drugs was allocated 2 points each and 1 point for antibiotics.
Chronic diseases – diabetes, cancer, hypertension and
