The Queen Mary 2 is the largest ocean liner in the world, and on Sunday her captain, Kevin Oprey stood on the ship’s bulbous bow, which protrudes from the front of the 151,200 tonne liner, to pose for a portrait with his ship. The photographs, taken to mark the tenth anniversary of the liner in May this year, and were shot while she was docked at a port off the coast of Bali.
Queen Mary 2's facilities include fifteen restaurants and bars, five swimming pools, a casino, a ballroom, a theatre, and the first planetarium at sea. There are also kennels on board, as well as a nursery. Queen Mary 2 has a maximum speed of just over 30 knots (56 km/h; 35 mph) and a cruising speed of 26 knots (48 km/h; 30 mph).
