Good Morning Chris / Michael,
As you are aware we have engaged a third party, Bureau Veritas (“BV”) to conduct an asbestos sampling and testing regime across all Module Fabrication Yards. BV completed this at COOEC last week and are now ready to mobilize to STPI and CUEL.
The field work will take BV around 3 days to complete;
- Day 1 – Site analysis and completing a Test Plan (containing BV’s recommendations for equipment and materials to be tested) and issue this Test Plan to Ian Morrison for approval. Note that the approval of the Test Plan is more to ensure that BV are remaining within the budget for the works across all yards.
- BV will then spend the next 1 – 2 days taking samples from around the yard in accordance with their Test Plan.
JKC need to provide the following to support BV:
- Access to site (security passes, etc).
- Site/HSE inductions as required.
- Support/guide BV’s team through the yard providing all relevant access.
- Provide documentation / information on materials and equipment as required by BV.
- Sign timesheets for all hours spent on-site by BV.
BV will be responsible for providing the following:
- All personnel
- All equipment, materials and small tools required to perform sampling
- All PPE
- Transport
- Accommodation
- Meals
- Laptop and telecommunications
- Office facilities (NA - not required).
- Visas (NA – not required as BV teams are locally based)
Considering the New Year’s holidays, I am not sure if we should wait until next week to mobilize BV to site. Considering this, Please can you confirm the date you would like BV to mobilize?
Please can you also confirm the following:
- Who will be responsible for activities relating to mobilization of BV personnel (i.e. site passes, etc.) – will this be Lance?
- Who shall BV report into when they arrive / who will oversee the works – will this be Michael?
