Child labor- the way child labor was a negative effect on the industrial revolution was they had poor families that couldn’t afford food to keep the family healthy. The working was dangerous and received little pay. The children worked in factories for a lot of hours with no breaks; they could get hurt, couldn’t see their family, and were whipped if they weren’t working. Children’s childhood was taken away because they had to work such long hours. The factories that the children worked in were very dangerous and they could easily get hurt.
Changing class structure- the way changing class structure was a negative effect on the industrial revolution was many people got greedy and they hurt the loosest classes. The loosest classes decreased wealth and increased in size. This class lived near the factories and consisted of the lowest of factory workers. It was very hard for the lowest class to go in the highest class system because they needed to be educated to have the higher paying jobs which the lowest class couldn’t because they were not well educated. During the time education was the only factor of leisure and could not be afforded by the low class workers.
Conditions in the coal mines- the way the conditions in the coal mines was a negative effect on the industrial revolution was in the coal mines it was very hot and dangerous for the workers. Coal dust was had caused the workers to have lung disease. The workers were also paid very low. Workers in the coal mines had to face the dangers of drowning from underground floods and suffocation from poisonous gases. The mines were damp and dark and workers risked lung disease from breathing air full of coal dust. Also a lot of cave-ins were very common and many workers had died because of the cave-ins.
