Four lambs per treatment were randomly chosen for blood
sample collection from each treatment group at day 35 and day 70.
About 10 mL of blood from each lamb was collected into a clean
dry tube (BD Vacutainer® Tubes, Franklin Lakes, NJ, USA) from the
jugular vein immediately before morning feeding. Heparin was
used as an anticoagulant. Heparinized blood samples were centrifuged at 4000g at 4 °C for 20 min. Plasma was separated into
clean dried glass vials and frozen at 20 °C for later analysis.
