Several reflected shock wave experiments were conducted to
measure the rate constants for the reactions of OH with 2-butanone
and 3-buten-2-one near pseudo-first-order conditions.
Mixtures using varying initial fuel concentrations of 200 and
234 ppm of 2-butanone, 234 ppm of 3-buten-2-one were tested
over the temperature range of 900–1450 K and pressures of
1–1.6 atm. The mixtures had 55–75 ppm of TBHP/water solution
and balanced with argon.
