NAVALA AUTHENTIC VILLAGE TOUR
Picturesque Navala village is situated on the banks of the Ba river against the stunning backdrop of the Ba highlands.
A trip to this lovely village is a trip back in time. Here the villagers of Navala still live in traditional thatched roof 'bures'. They rely mostly on nature to supply their daily needs by planting a variety of root crops, fruits and vegetables while seasonal supplies of wild fruit, yams and wild pigs are supplied by the areas native forest. Villagers bathe in bathe in the cold waters of the Ba River and enjoy the refreshing mountain air.
Upon your arrival, you will partake in the traditional 'sevusevu' welcome ceremony inside an authentic Fijian 'bure'. A local guide will then take you on a tour of the area including the remote primary school while regaling you with facts and anecdotes of the traditional Fijian lifestyle.
Upon the tours conclusion, tuck into a tasty traditional lunch of vegetables in coconut milk, fried eggplants, vegetarian or meat sitr-fries coupled with loca root crops like cassava, yam, dalo, vudi (plantain) and seasonal fruit.
It will be an experience unlike any other because Navala is unique in maintaining the traditional look and lifestyle of a Fijian village.
